Operation
The process of using your hot tub is as simple as:
1. Plug in your garden hose to the connection point (it's the same point that the tub drains from)
2. Fill with water (cover the hose that connects to the top of the heater)
3. Light the fire (suggest lots of firelighters if you're not too proud!).
4. Keep it roaring for a few hours (Small wood pieces & lots of flame = faster heat up.)
5. Stir every half hour (try to lift the colder water from the deep)
Ease off on the wood at around 35 degrees.
6. Jump in at your desired temperature (most people 36-40 degrees)
To tweak the temperature; add cold water or fuel the fire.
Hot Tip: Try lighting the fire the night before a tub session. This will slightly pre-warm the water in advance. Be sure to leave the cover on overnight.
Generally the rule of thumb is 2 people, 1 hour, no need for tools! We also have in depth set-up videos that we send through prior to your hire period.
Small tub; 2-3 hours.
Medium tub; 3-4 hours
Large tub; 5-6 hours.
Reheating is faster.
The biggest factor for fast heat up is using small and very dry (seasoned properly) pieces of good quality firewood.
Most people find it simplest to refill the tub after use.
Some people add bromine or chlorine to help make the water last longer. Ask us about electronic filtration!
Cold rainy days make for some of the best times in your tub!
None, zero, zilch. Our hot tubs are completely off-grid design. (Excluding electric filter pump optional add-on.)
It’s very simple, keep the fire well fuelled during the heat up stage, then ease back on adding firewood just before you reach your desired temperature. The heater also has airflow adjustments to help regulate the heat.
There is a temperature gauge to help.
Yes, during the heat up stage it helps to stir the water every 30-60 minutes to get an even distribution of heat. We will provide a cute paddle that does the trick perfectly.
No. The sound of a crackling fire is much more relaxing than a rumbling fan motor.
Small tub = 600L (approx)
Medium tub = 900L (approx)
Large tub = 1500L (approx)
Simply plug in your garden hose to fill. This can take anywhere from 30-60mins depending on the size of the tub and your water pressure.
Our wood-fired heaters are very efficient and don't require much wood. Generally, 2-4 standard bags is enough to get your tub nice and toasty. We provide firelighters, kindling and matches with every hire. Ask us if you'd also like us to supply some firewood!

Our hot tubs can be walked through narrow gateways (in pieces) and then set-up on location.
Almost any location. It just needs to be accessible on foot, have a reasonably level surface that is minimum 3m x 3m, and access to clean water (E.g. A garden hose).
Any ventilated area with sufficient load-bearing capacity is perfect (Lawns, patios, decks, paddocks, driveways etc)

Safety
In most conditions smoke is minimal. Dry firewood in small pieces is best to ensure a clean burn.
It is the customers responsibility to operate the product safely (and manage hazards to children such as those associated with fire and water).
The tubs come with the following warning:
“WARNING! Children have drowned in portable swimming pools. Ensure active adult supervision at all times. Do not leave children unsupervised in or around the pool—keep them within arms’ reach. Empty and store safely after use.”
Check with your local fire authority for definitive advice.
The fireplace is fully enclosed, and most regulations make provisions for enclosed fires.
Keep in mind that there are on average less than 15 Total Fire Ban days per year in Australia.
For hires: If necessary, we will offer you either extended, rescheduled or refunded hire. You’ll find we are always very flexible.
Please contact your local council for temporary or permanent fencing requirements.
We recommend treating our hot tubs like 'outdoor bath tubs that are used for hygienic purposes and drained after use'.

The 8 seater hot tub has become a main attraction and one of the most valued part of the retreats I run on Kangaroo Island. Nestled amongst the pine trees it is a luxurious space for connection and relaxation amongst a group of strangers! Easy to assemble, great to transport and efficient in its wood consumption, the hot tub adds rustic charm to any gathering and creates unique memories for anyone that jumps in!

Chris was an absolute delight to work with. He came in to set up, and pack down the tubs, which made everything so effortless for us as Event Organisers. We have about 40 people for a weekend of trail running and hiking, and the tubs were an absolute hit - and a complete surprise! Everyone wanted a go, so we definitely squeezed in. The cool ice bath made for a great recovery session with the guests as well, and had people to-ing and fro-ing between the two tubs.

Absolutely the highlight of our stay-at-home Christmas Break. We hired the luxurious 8 seater, which was big enough for 8 adults and wide enough to float in. Suitable for all weather variations, heats quickly, well insulated and very relaxing. The company communication, delivery and hot tub quality was excellent. They set up the 8 seater in under an hour. We enjoyed many happy hours, day and night, relaxing and having fun. We loved guessing the water temperature and checking the temperature gage that came with the tub. The water stayed an even temperature for long periods of time. Everyone who came to visit asked for the company details. We can’t wait to hire it again.
