Yes, Ember hot tubs and pools are designed and manufactured on Victoria's Surf Coast. We are also proudly Australian Made Certified.
Traditional pools and spas are costly, complicated, and don’t fit most spaces. Ember tubs and pools are modular, easy to install anywhere, and effortless to use—so you can enjoy luxury soaking without the hassle or compromising on quality and design.
Wood-fired gives you incredible ambience and off-grid freedom.
Electric gives you daily convenience.
Hybrid (Elec + Wood powered) lets you keep it warm automatically during the week, with the option to turn off all equipment and enjoy soaking by a crackling fire.
If you choose filtration with your Ember, we supply high end industry leading equipment. Our circulation pump, heat pump, filter, and mineraliser is leagues above the no-name & undersized equipment provided with most others.
Not to bore you with specs but beware of anything that takes shortcuts and doesn't measure up with the following critical features:
- Ember Filtration: 100 square foot.
- Ember Circulation pump: 1HP variable, ultra quiet.
- Ember Electric Heating: 9kW Inverter Heat Pump.
Others: '3kW integrated electric spa heater'. Have a quick search on eBay to see what this device is worth! It costs the manufacturer $100 but costs the customer many $000's per year in exorbitant energy usage.
Yes! Ember is one of very few designs on the market which is compatible with bath salts. Note: For wood-fired models, there's specific magnesium salts that are compatible. Jump on a call and we can explain in depth.
1. Mineral Ready
This is a non-negotiable in our world! Unlike almost all other materials, Ember's internal lining system is designed to suit mineral bathing.
2. Comfort
Unlike bare wood, fiberglass, or raw metal, a vinyl liner provides a smooth, soft-touch surface. There are no harsh, rough or cold walls —just a cushioned, comfortable soak every time.
3. No leaks
A durable vinyl liner acts as an impermeable barrier, ensuring total watertight integrity.
4. Low Maintenance
Designed to prevent algae, bacteria, and grime while requiring almost no maintenance. Much less sensitive to water chemistry than metal or bare wood.
5. Superior Heat Retention & Insulation
Acting as an added layer between the water and the outer shell, a vinyl liner helps slow down heat transfer through the walls. When combined with timber cladding and insulation, it keeps water hot longer—reducing the wood fuel or electricity needed to reheat.
5. Prolonged Structural Lifespan
A vinyl liner doesn't suffer rot, mold growth, rust, corrosion, or tea-staining (common issue with steel).
6. Circular Economy
Easily repaired, replaced or recycled down the track, an Ember tub can look brand new decades down the track (that's why you don't see them 2nd hand for free like some of their ugly cousins!)
The walls of our tubs can be the fence!
Our 1.2m and 1.5m models are Engineer Certified so the tub walls can be approved as safety barriers, compliant to Australia Standards. This means in many cases an external fence may not be required.
Pool, hot tub and bath safety rules vary by location, so it’s important to check what applies to your area before purchasing, installing or using your pool or tub.
While most conventional spas require navigating a complex web of red tape, we've simplified the process.
We've invested heavily in innovation and certifications, making it possible to install with No-Concrete, No-Fence, No-Crane, No-Tradespeople.
We have the full range of certifications required to satisfy regulatory requirements (ie. Structural integrity, Re-circulation, Foundations, Non-climbable walls).
At Ember, we focus on what we do best—building and delivering great products! Because every property and local council is different, we do not offer installation services or permit management.
Note that we offer unlimited and free virtual support, and we can connect you with installers throughout Australia.
