Operation, Safety & Water Quality Guidance

It's very important to avoid possible damage from harsh water conditions. Fresh water is simplest. If treating water, required parameters are as follows:

  • Chlorine/Bromine - these sanitisers must not reach excessive levels. If you can smell them strongly, it's likely too concentrated (and will corrode parts of the product). Ask us or your local pool shop for advice.
  • Stagnant water - avoid leaving stagnant water in tub for periods of multiple days. The optional filtration system add-on is useful if retaining water for such periods of time.

Recommended parameters are as follows:

  • pH: 7.4-7.8
  • Total Alkalinity: 100 – 150ppm
  • Calcium Hardness: 200 – 400ppm
  • Free Chlorine 1 – 3ppm (Non-Heated Pool) or 2 – 4ppm (Heated Pools)
  • Stabiliser 30 – 50ppm
  • Saturation Index -0.1 – + 0.4
